Credit Transfer

A Credit Transfer recognises nationally recognised training you have already successfully completed, so you do not need to repeat the same unit of competency as part of your course. To apply for a Credit Transfer, you will need to provide evidence of your previous completion, such as a Statement of Attainment or Qualification Certificate and Record of Results issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Recognised Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that recognises relevant knowledge and skills you have already gained through previous work, training, volunteering or other experience. If you apply for RPL, an interview will be conducted with your Educator after enrolment to discuss your experience and determine whether RPL may be suitable for you.

RPL requires you to gather and provide sufficient, valid and current evidence demonstrating that your knowledge and skills meet the requirements of the relevant unit(s) of competency. Evidence may include workplace documents or work samples, records of previous training, references or third-party reports, and other evidence of your skills and experience. Please note that RPL is a formal assessment process and is not necessarily a quicker pathway to completing your qualification.

Credit Transfer and Recognition

Where I apply for Credit Transfer, I authorise AISR to contact the issuing Registered Training Organisation where reasonably required to verify the authenticity of qualifications, Statements of Attainment, Records of Results or other evidence I have submitted for recognition purposes.

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Information

I understand that AISR collects, uses and discloses personal information for purposes associated with my application, enrolment, training, assessment and participation in vocational education and training.

I understand that information collected through my enrolment and participation may be disclosed to relevant Australian Government and South Australian Government departments and agencies, the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER), regulatory bodies and other authorised organisations where required or permitted by law, regulation or funding arrangements

Information may be used for purposes including VET administration, statistical analysis, monitoring, evaluation, research, program management and determining eligibility for government-funded training.

Where my training is funded or subsidised by the South Australian Government, I understand that information about my identity, eligibility, enrolment, participation, progress and outcomes may be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the requirements of the relevant government-funded training program.

Employer or Third-Party Funded Training

Where my employer or another organisation is paying for or sponsoring my training, I understand that AISR may provide that organisation with information reasonably necessary to administer the training arrangement, including information about my enrolment, participation, progress and completion, where permitted by law and the applicable funding or contractual arrangement.
